When Your Baby reaches six months, it’s good for him/her to introduce solid food. Each Baby different, so there is no assurance how your baby will take this new experience. He/She may take some time to get used to different tastes and textures or he/she may like straight way.

Why milk isn’t enough anymore?

At six month, Baby starts to demand more nutrients, Particularly Iron, from food. But still baby needs breast milk or formula milk as well.

If you want to provide solid food to your baby before six month, its better get advice from GP or child health specialist. There are so many foods which aren’t suitable for your Baby like gluten.

Once your Baby reach at six month, you may give him most foods, and try new one quickly. Here are some food you may begin with:

  1.        Well mashed or pureed cooked vegetable like sweet potato, potato, carrot, broccoli, butternut pumpkin, cauliflower or parsnip.
  2.        Fruit puree, like cooked pear, papaya, mashed fruit ripe cooked apple, ripe avocado or banana.
  3.        Others cereal or baby rice mixed with usual milk.
